Lyall Willis was formed in 1898 and became a UK Ltd Company in 1920 primarily dealing in the export of UK manufactured goods. Lyall Willis & Co. Ltd. later moved its focus to becoming suppliers and distributors of Surgical Instruments, Diagnostic devices as well as Medical and scientific Instrumentation. Over the years Lyall Willis Surgical has built up considerable experience in the healthcare market specifically relating to its extensive range of Surgical Instruments and Diagnostic devices. To develop the UK market Lyall Willis offered a customer orientated service to medical trade companies throughout the UK as well as the NHS Trusts.Most of our sales and marketing is carried out through the instrument trade and distributors. Lyall Willis Surgical has become well known for stocking over 2,000 different types of surgical instruments available for next day despatch throughout the UK. With a total stock of over 400,000 surgical instruments, Lyall Willis surgical is able to respond quickly to customer demand and always strives to deliver more than 98% of orders on time and in full.We hold a current ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003, MDD 92/43/EEC certification and mark all our instruments with "CE" Mark and MDA Registration number "CA 001080". We also supply our own branded Sphygmomanometers marked with our registration number 0473. All surgical instruments are made from the highest-grade quality stainless steel to meet the requirements of BS 5194 part 1-4. We also supply bespoke surgical instruments where required by our customers.Furthermore Lyall Willis Surgical has expanded its operations into the supply of Single Use Sterile Surgical Instruments and Procedure Packs including Drapes. We have set up our own Clean Room Facility at our Factory in Bexhill-on-sea. Further additions to our scope include diagnostic devices such as Sphygmomanometers, Stethoscopes, Hammers, Tuning Forks, Laryngoscopes, and currently we have been successful on both Re-Usable and Single Use Framework Agreements and are suppliers to numerous NHS Supply Chain Contracts.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, e-mail or over the Internet.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling
Delivery of goods to you
1 We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order.
2 Delivery will be made as soon as possible after your order is accepted and in any event within 30 days of your order.
3 You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Delivery Schedule
Any date or period for delivery shall be considered as indicative only, although it is our policy to try to despatch all orders within 48 hours. You will be notified of any items that are not available at the time of your order and may choose to cancel or to place the order. These items will be sent to you as soon as they are available. Please allow 7 working days for delivery to UK addresses. Delivery to non-UK addresses is likely to take longer. The seller cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery caused by a third party. If the goods fail to arrive please contact us to arrange for a replacement or refund. See our terms and conditions for more details.
Orders to be delivered to UK mainland addresses with a net value of £200 or more will be delivered free of charge, all orders of less than £200 will incur a delivery charge of £7.50. Low value, small or light UK mainland orders will be sent by Royal Mail at a cost of £3.50. Standard parcels being shipped to European postal zones will be sent by TNT using a 3 working day service at a cost of £29.00 for orders up to a maximum value of £500 and £39 for orders exceeding £500. Small parcels being shipped to European postal zones will be sent by Airmail as small packets at a cost of £3.50 for orders under £10 and £7.50 for orders up to a maximum value of £25. We do not currently deliver outside of European postal zones. The seller reserves the right to alter these prices in line with the costs of postage. The customer must request any other delivery method at the time of placing the order and goods will be sent in this manner subject to an additional charge.

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

All our products are guaranteed for the period of 3 years. If any item is found to be faulty due to manufacturing or materials defect during this time we will replace it free of charge

Returns Policy
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
